Tim Duncan suffers bad injury in Spurs win over Blazers
Unfortunately for San Antonio, Tim Duncan bruised his right knee and sprained his right ankle yesterday in the second quarter of the Spurs' game against the Portland Trail Blazers.Official sources of the franchise said Duncan's ligaments appeared stable but that he would have an MRI today. He did not return to the game, which the Spurs won, 100-79, and the team stated he would miss some playing time.
We must consider that Tim Duncan got caught up with Portland's James Jones and fell to the floor near the Spurs' basket with 7:40 left in the half. He was clutching his knee and had to be helped off the floor by two teammates.
However, is good to say that Tony Parker scored 27 points for the Spurs, which helped his team get the victory.
